Meet Us at MacCool's!

The Local First Davis County chapter is growing! Don’t miss the next Local First Davis Mixer on Thursday, May 9th at MacCool’s Public House in Layton.

Try the Hive Winery’s delectable fruit wines, as well as appetizers provided by MacCool’s. Enjoy local artwork from The Hive Gallery, and learn more about Holy Smokes BBQ & Grill, one of our spotlight businesses.

The mixer runs from 5:30 to 7 pm. Plan to stay and enjoy more social time over dinner from MacCool’s full menu. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the local movement, meet other local businesses owners and locally minded citizens, all while supporting a great local restaurant.

MacCool’s is located in the Heritage Park Plaza at 855 West Heritage Park Blvd.

Storms Won't Stop Us!

It's been a record breaking winter between Winter Storm Gandolf, ice storms the likes of many Utahans have never seen before and an inversion that stretched from Ogden to Nephi. Because of all these storms and the accompanying dangerous driving conditions, two of our scheduled chapters events necessitated rescheduling.

But, never fear! We've rescheduled both events, and are excited to announce their new times and locations.

The Local First Ogden monthly mixer, originally scheduled for January 24th has been rescheduled for TOMORROW, January 31st at MacCool's in the lobby of the Ben Lomond Hotel in Ogden. The mixer starts at 5:30, appetizers are free until they are gone, and we encourage you stick around for dinner!

Our Local First Davis County Launch Party, originally scheduled for January 10th, is will take place on Thursday, February 7th, from 5:30 to 7 pm at Roosters Brewery. Join us for appetizers featuring Beehive Cheese, live music by Rick Gerber and the company of other local business owners and locally minded citizens. Stick around after the mixer to enjoy Roosters' great dinner menu.
