Local First Utah has hosted Celebrate the Bounty at Ricos Warehouse for nearly a decade. It's a unique venue, part working warehouse, part eccelectic, artfilled event space. It's a community gathering place, and the heart of Salt Lake City's Granary District.

We're grateful to the hospitality of Jorge Fierro, owner of Frida Bistro and Ricos Brand Foods, as well as one of the founding board members of Local First Utah. His contributions to Utah's business community are far too many to ennumerrate, but we are very, very lucky that Jorge calls Salt Lake City home.

In addtion to hosting the party, Ricos Brand Foods will participate in Celebrate the Bounty, offering up the world class culinary delights for our dining pleasure.

Celebrate the Bounty takes place on Thursday, November 9th from 7 – 10 pm at Rico’s Warehouse in the Granary District. General Admission tickets to Celebrate the Bounty are on sale now! Tickets are $65 for food & beverages, $55 for food only. Celebrate the Bounty is a 21+ event.

The blue and white trucks of Momentum Recycling are a regular site in Salt Lake City, providing comprehensive recycling collection services to businesses and residents. In 2008, Momentum Recycling was founded with the goal of helping communities move toward zero waste.

As of July 2012, Momentum Recycling became the exclusive glass recycler for Salt Lake City. This includes operating the first curbside glass collections program in Utah, and the processing of all glass collected through the city’s various programs. Recently, Momentum’s curbside glass recycling program expanded to Taylorsville.

Apart from their contribution to the protection and preservation of our environment, Momentum Recycling also works in partnership with the International Rescue Committee and the Odyssey House, to hiring individuals who may otherwise face barriers to employment.

Momentum plays a vital role in Utah’s local business community, and we’re delighted to have them, not only as a member of Local First Utah’s Leaders Circle, but also as VIP Table Sponsor at this year’s Celebrate the Bounty.

What is Celebrate the Bounty Really All About?

Each Fall, for ten years strong, Local First Utah has hosted Celebrate the Bounty in order to gather the local loving community together in one place. Truth be told, there's one place that can fit all lovers of all things local, but we do our very to bring everyone together for a this festive occasion, hosted at Rico's Warehouse in the Granary District.

While Salt Lake City's phenomenal restaurants are the centerpiece of Celebrate the Bounty, the evening is about so much more than just locally grown, locally produced food. At it's core, Celebrate the Bounty is about that delicate balance between individuality and community that Utahns are so very good at managing. It's about our individual choices: how we spend our money, who we do business with, and where we do that business. As well, it's about how all of those individual choices multiply over time and produce a connected, thriving, generous place to call home.

We're excited to have some of Utah's best known restauarants join us for Celebrate the Bounty, and we're delighted to welcome up and coming culinary innovators to the party!

Most of all, we're excited to have YOU at the party. That's right, YOU. Join us as we celebrate all the reasons we love to call Utah home, on Thursday, November 9th from 7 - 10 pm at Ricos Warehouse (545 West 700 South) in the Granary District of Salt Lake City.

On Saturday, September 9th, The King’s English Bookshop will celebrate its 40th year in business in Salt Lake City’s 15th & 15th Neighborhood.

To contemporary eyes, it’s hard to believe that 15th & 15th was once a less than desirable neighborhood. But, that is the power of change that independent businesses can lead when they are rooted in their communities. From the decision to purchase their building in 15th & 15th more than 30 years, to a commitment to leading the “buy local” movement in Utah by helping to found both Vest Pocket Business Coalition and Local First Utah, Betsy Burton has shaped the minds, hearts and quality of life of Salt Lake City citizens in ways that run so deeply most of us will never truly see her impact.

We’re honored to have the support of The King’s English once again at Celebrate the Bounty as VIP Table Sponsors.

Celebrate the Bounty takes place on Thursday, October 12th from 7 – 10 pm at Ricos Warehouse (545 West 700 South) in Salt Lake City. Tickets for Celebrate the Bounty are on sale now! $65 for food and beverage, $55 for food only.

From starring on Food Network’s, “Diners, Dives, and Drive-Ins” to being the focus of a New York Times case study, Red Iguana is one of Salt Lake City’s best known restaurants. These hometown heroes, while being one of the most decorated restaurants, continue to partner in the Local First Movement, and support a number of other civic and charitable causes.

Their world famous mole is only one element of their menu, and at Celebrate the Bounty they’ll be serving Snake River Farms beef cheek taco - handmade corn tortilla, onion, cilantro, salsa verde, housemade queso fresco.

Located in the heart of Sandy, Tiburon is a time honor neighborhood restaurant that has supported our local economy. We are so excited for them to join us for the very first time their first time at Celebrate the Bounty, our annual fall fundraiser, on Thursday, October 13th at Rico’s Warehose.

When you walk in the door of this cozy restaurant you are greeted by a staff that treats you like family, some of whom who have been part of the Tiburon team since the restaurant opened in 1999. During the summer season you can sit on the patio and admire their beautifully lush garden that provides most of what is in your meal.

In just two short years, Even Stevens has taken the “fast casual” dining world in Utah by storm. But, don’t let the fast casual notion dissuade you – their sandwiches are good. In fact, they are more than good. Even Stevens makes the kind of sandwiches that require a few extra vowels tossed in to precisely express how great they taste. Their sandwiches are gooooooood.

With stores from Logan to St. George, each of their locations is tailor-made to the community they are located. Plus, the Even Stevens motto, “Eat to Give” is in full effect in each of these towns. Central to business operations is the desire to give back to the community. For every sandwich purchased in one of their stores, a sandwich is given to local non-profit.  Each location gives back to three specified charities in their community. Six stores + 18 charities = 746,801 sandwiches donated to date.

We’re proud of the work that Even Stevens is doing in Utah, filling a whole lot of empty bellies, and using a menagerie of local products all at the same time.

Join us, and Even Stevens, at Celebrate the Bounty, Local First Utah’s annual fundraiser, which takes place on Thursday, October 13th at Ricos Warehouse in Salt Lake City.

Tickets are on sale now at www.24tix.com. $65 for food and beverage, $55 for food only.

Only a handful of years ago, mentioning Utah-made wine in a conversation would have brought about quizzical looks and possibly even a handful of laughs. But, we always have been a state driven by a pioneering spirit, and a number of independent businesses have led the way in crafting delicious wines right here in the Beehive State.

One of those pioneers is IG Winery. Based in Cedar City, we’re delighted to feature their wines at this year’s Celebrate the Bounty, Local First Utah’s annual fundraiser.

From The Tempest, a whirling blend that pays homage to the Utah Shakespeare Festival, to their Roussanne, an award winning “white wine for red wine drinkers” to their decadent dessert wine, IG Winery has a wine for every palate.

Make sure to get your tickets to Celebrate the Bounty so you too can sample these remarkable, local wines.

Celebrate the Bounty is Thursday, October 13th from 7 – 10 pm at Rico’s Warehouse in Salt Lake City.

Tickets are on sale now at www.24tix.com. $65 for food and beverage, $55 for food only.
