Kristen Lavelett, Executive Director

Kristen Lavelett joined Local First Utah in July 2010, as a volunteer intern, and became the Executive Director in 2015.  Kristen has lived in Salt Lake City for nearly 15 years, and is passionatly in love with her adopted hometown and state. As Executive Director, she works on a statewide level to accomplish the educational mission of Local First Utah, and to enhance partner engagement in the movement as a whole. Despite this wide-ranging work, she still finds daily inspiration in the stories of individual business owners, the true "heros in the land" of the buy local movement. Kristen also serves as an ex-officio member of the Salt Lake City Mayor's Business Advisory Board, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Utah Urban Food Connections. She also leads a small group at The Rock Church.

Allison Lambert, Operations Manager

Allison Lambert moved to Utah in March 2015 and joined the Local First Utah team the following September as the Operations Manager.  Allison is passionate about building a strong middle class through local entrepreneurship and getting to know her new home state through its unique restaurants, coffee shops, and outdoor activities.  As Operations Manger, she is responsible for serving the needs of Local First’s partner businesses and running the daily operations of the organization. Allison also volunteers with Rosewood Lane, Nazarene Missions International, and the Pregnancy Care Center of Ogden.  She lives in Layton with her husband, two kids, and dog.
